Biarritz is a touristic place that is situated in the southeast of France, in the area of the Atlantic Pyrenees, in the region called Aquitaine, mor concretely inside Las Lansas in the French Basque Country or Iparralde. It is a city that looks over the Bay of Biscay and whose lands embody cities such as Anglet, Bayona, or San Juan de Luz. As well, it is very close to the Spanish boarder of Irun and of about 40 localities such as San Sebastian.

Biarritz is a city that has inspired other cities around it to become tourist destinations. It has airs of San Sebastian, its beaches, casino, restaurants, and fishing origins. Biarritz has its roots in whale hunting from the last centuries. In the 19th and 20th centuries, this corner of France has dedicated itself to hunting whales in the Bay of Biscay as half of the world's population migrates here.

Its most famous attribute is the Biarritz Casino, inaugurated in 1901. Its beaches and ideal waves for surf are also an attraction, as well as the therapeutic attriputes of its water. Its accommodation, restaurants, and attractions have all turned this place into a first rate travel destination.

Years ago, this city was a glamorous destination, which you can still see hints of today at its harbour where you can charter yachts to explore its seaboard and see whales, snorkel, sunbathe, and get to other coastal cities.
